Upright and Talking

Reese now loves to be upright and facing out towards the world.  We will put her in her jumperoo and Bumbo sitter and she absolutely has a blast.  She is definitely a talker.... not only does she like talking to people but she has conversations with her plastic yellow monkey, pictures on the wall, and sometimes her hands and feet.   

Reese gets Baptized

We had Reese baptized this past Sunday.  It was a beautiful service and Reese was well behaved!  Reese held the preacher's hand as he baptized her and then he carried her up the aisle of the church for everyone to see her.  She looked around at all the faces and even let out a coo or two.   

We had a lot of family and friends join us at the baptism and even more joined us at the reception afterwards.

Reese wore the christening gown that Lee and his sister were baptized in.

    

Barron, Porky Pop, (grandparents) and GG (Great Grandmother) flew down from Philadelphia to celebrate with us!  We loved having them and were very excited that Reese got to meet her GG for the 1st time! 

Happy Father's Day!

So this was Lee's 1st Father's Day.  We went to church with Sarah's family.  Reese did pretty good; we had to take her out twice....once to change her diaper and the other time she got a little fussy because she was hungry.  Of course all the little old ladies had to come up to her afterwards and comment on how pretty she.  (and we never get tired of hearing that!)  After church we all went out to eat at Flavor, a great southern style restaurant.  Then we went to Sarah's parents house for cake and ice cream to celebrate the General's birthday (which is in 2 days.)

Reese passed out during the festivities.  She was a tired little girl.

The General got a new bib for his birthday since he is always getting food stains on his clothes.  (And yes, he does have shorts on) :-) 

On another note:  Reese is lifting her head!  This is in perfect time for her formal pictures that will be taken later in the week.  We thought she might be developing a little diaper rash so that is why she is bare bottomed in this picture.  

Smiling Reese

So Reese has been smiling for a while now, but I was finally able to capture her smile on camera! She smiles the most when she first wakes up in the morning so she has a case of the bed-head.

She also is starting to like her stuffed animals. Here she is cuddling with her bunny that Mammy got her.

She is changing so much and really developing her own personality. And she's crying so I will add more later!

A Day at the Lake

Yesterday we spent the afternoon at the family lake with Sarah's parents, Tess, Brett, Adahlyn, Susan & Mom-Mom. Sarah enjoyed going for a swim while her mom sat with Reese on the bank. Reese really seemed to enjoy her walk along the waters edge with The General, Sarah's dad.




Lee & Brett took a boat out to do a little fishing. They had no luck.
