Goodbye Sunday to Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday
Reese was actually old enough to participate in some Easter festivities this year.  She enjoyed rummaging through her Easter basket and was especially excited to hunt for Easter eggs.

Goodbye Sunday
My brother, Sheppard, has left for his 2nd tour of duty... this time he is headed for Afghanistan.  He was home for a few days the weekend before Easter.  Our parents hosted the 'Easter meal' early so the whole family could be present.

Misc Pics

Reese loves blueberries!
We got tired of cleaning the nooks and crannies of the high chair, so we moved Reese into a booster seat.  She really likes being able to sit at the table like Mommy & Daddy.

March Philadelphia Trip

I'm a few weeks late posting this, but we spent a week in Philadelphia visiting Lee's family and friends last month.  It was good seeing everyone.  It was definitely a busy trip packed with lots of activities.
On Friday Lee's mom had a birthday party for Reese as Chucky Cheese (or Diseasey Cheese as Lee likes to say.)  Thanks Barron!!!  Reese enjoyed looking at the big goofy characters as well as going on a few 'rides'.  Also on Friday, we went to the wedding rehearsal of one of Lee's childhood friends.  Lee was one of the groomsmen.

We spent Saturday morning letting Reese play with cousins Angelina and Billy.  They were all so cute to watch interacting with one another.

Saturday night Lee and I attended John's wedding while Reese stayed with Lauren, Bill, Angelina & Billy.  This was the 1st real time we left Reese.  Of course I knew she was in good hands.... but it was really hard for me to walk out the door hearing my child calling out 'Mama.'

On Sunday, Lee's parents treated us to a wonderful brunch at the Philadelphia Water Works.  It was a beautiful little spot right on the water.  Afterwards we took a walk along the water.  Lee, Reese and I decided to hang out in that area to tour the Water Works museum, go see the Rocky statue, and climb to the top of the Art Museum steps.  It was a gorgeous day.... perfect for sight seeing!

On Monday we went to the Please Touch Museum.  This is a great place for kids!  Reese had a blast playing different musical instruments, riding the merry-go-round, having a tea party with the Mad Hatter, etc...

On Tuesday we took it easy around the house while getting all packed up to go home the next morning.  That evening we went to G.G.'s house (Lee's grandmother) for supper.  G.G. had spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread.  Yum!

As one of Reese's books says: "Goodnight Philadelphia friends.  Thank you for sharing a wonderful day."
